Remote
Assistance in windows 7 and 8.1 and Quick Assist in from windows 10
Windows offers a few built-in tools for performing remote
assistance over the Internet. These tools allow you to take remote control
of another person’s computer so you can help them troubleshoot it while you’re
on the phone with them. They work similarly to Remote desktop,
but are available on all editions of Windows and are
easy to set up.
Windows 10, you can use the built-in “Quick Assist” app
to do this.
Windows 7 or 8, you can use the older Windows Remote
Assistance. Windows Remote Assistance is still included in Windows 10, just in
case you need it.
Note : Both the features require the other person help initiate the connection.
Generating a random password and letting know from user is giving
me very tough job. So, I have created 2 scripts one for user and another
Administrator.
UserScript
Save the below script as RemoteAssist.bat
. Change the location path depends on your environment and this one will be
used by users who needs support
@echo
off
del
"\\server1\RemoteAssistance\test.msrcincident"
@msra
/saveasfile
"\\server1\RemoteAssistance\test.msrcincident"
password
administartor Script
Save the below script as RemoteAdministratorAssist.bat
. Change the location path depends on your environment and this one will be
used by administrators who will provide the support.
@echo
off
@msra
/openfile \\server1\RemoteAssistance\test.msrcincident
By this way you can help your users
Note - Change the server path depends on your location.
